Soul Reasons for Life Challenges

Without the meaning that flows from a higher view, we remain stuck in our human experience, believing (understandably) that these things should never happen. For trauma survivors on a healing journey, we need to consider the broader vision to find purpose in our suffering, and step into our soul warrior authority.

Reason 1: Karma (Part A)

Our soul wants to balance incomplete experiences.

The first reason we might experience challenges is to resolve karma. Karma is essentially unfinished business we carry on a soul level, that can only be resolved on the physical plane. This level of explanation takes us far beyond standard psychological reasoning and into soul warrior territory. It suggests that nothing happens by chance; we do indeed choose and plan our lifetimes.

In our interview, author and spiritual regressionist Robert Schwartz explained this aspect of karma:

Balancing karma means to experience the opposite role of a situation in order to offset it. Take the example of two people sharing a past life together, in which “one was ill and the other was the caregiver.” After the lifetime, they would review the experience; if it feels complete, there is no karma. However, “if they feel incomplete, that is the karma. [If so] they are probably just going to trade places in the upcoming incarnation.”

In this way, the soul can obtain a 360 degree knowledge of the relationship dynamics. By living both sides of the coin, as well as experiencing both positive karma (for loving deeds) or negative karma (for fear-based deeds), every aspect of the experience is seen, felt, and known.

Our soul has added this thorough learning to its library, bringing about deep growth and evolution.

This is an excerpt from my upcoming book, Trauma Survivor to Soul Warrior: Reconnect With Your True Self (due to be published in September 2025 by Manuscripts Press LLC).

I am looking forward to sharing it with you.
